This cheesy party food is simple to make and absolutely delicious when the weather is cold! Recipe courtesy of Murrayā€™s Cheese.
TOTAL TIME:20 minutes
- 1 lb. Murrayā€™s Cave Aged Gruyere, shredded
- Ā½ lb. Emmentaler cheese, shredded
- Ā½ lb. Murrayā€™s Estate Gouda, shredded
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 cup white wine
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- Salt, freshly ground pepper and hot sauce to taste
Cut the garlic clove in half. Rub the inside of the fondue pot with garlic, then add the wine and bring to a simmer over low heat.
Add the cheeses all at once. Using a wooden spoon, stir over moderately low heat just until the cheese is melted and smooth, about 5-10 minutes.
Add the nutmeg. Season with salt, pepper and hot sauce.
Set over a low flame to keep fondue melted during serving. Serve with slices of baguette, salami or pickles.
